A student of the Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH), #Yola, #AdamawaState, has been arrested by Taraba state police command for masterminding the kidnap of his own 10-year-old sister, Amina Umar, on her way to school.
Abdulbasit Umar, who took along two other accomplices, Sadiq Sani and Abdullahi Habib, had demanded the sum of N10 million as ransom from Abdul’s father for them to free Amina his sister. But after much negotiations, they agreed to collect 4m naira.
DSP David Misal, who is the spokesman of the State Police Command explained that officers of the State Investigative Bureau arrested the suspects as they were on their way to collect the N4 million ransom.
The major suspect, Abdulbasit, who is also the victim’s brother, spoke to newsmen, said he had not done such before but needed the money to study abroad. According to him, “my aim was that after collecting the money, I would proceed with my education abroad.”
A Nigerian man Mr Ogujor Dandy has showered praises on the Nigerian Police Force Ibadan Division for a job well done as they rescued his wife from robbers in the dead of the night while he away on a trip.

The Rivers State Police command has on Monday, shot dead a vicious kidnapper, Ekweme Brown Ike, aka Lucifer (Satan).
The notorious kidnapper was killed by Men of Operation STING. He was the alleged leader of the gang that carried out most of the kidnappings and hijack of commercial buses on the Ndele axis of the East/West Road.
At the time the news of his dead filtered through, the entire Rundele community went into wild jubilation as they heard he is no more.

Eniola Adenuga, a mobile agent has been arrested for allegedly raping a co-worker, Faith Jude, to death and hiding her corpse for three days in OgunState
The suspect committed the offence at Lafenwa Abeokuta, and later went ahead to report the case at Lafenwa Police Station, that he discovered a lifeless body in front of his office.
However, after investigation by Police detectives, it was discovered that there were marks of violence on Faith’s body, which were a pointer that she was murdered.
Based on the discovery, the complainant was professionally interrogated, and it was discovered that he was the person that actually killed her. He confessed to killing her when she came to the shop to collect money for their boss.
He took advantage of the downpour on that day to grab the deceased, gagged her mouth with a piece of cloth and raped her.

In early hours of the third day of the incident, I placed her corpse in front of the shop and went to report at Lafenwa police station that I found a corpse in front of our shop.
I had to confess during the investigation that I actually covered her mouth with her underwear while I raped her to death.”
A 39-yr-old married woman, Mercy Momoh has been arrested for allegedly stealing a two-month-old baby in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
The baby whom she stole from his mother, Funmilayo Sunday, on Friday, after tricking Funmilayo to follow her to the State Secretariat using the lie that they want to collect some relief materials being given by government to flood victims.
However, when they got to the Secretariat, Mercy sent the mother of the baby to help her buy recharge card, but ran away with the baby before she returned.
Upon her arrest, the suspect confessed that she stole the baby because she is in desperate need of a male child.
According to her, her husband has gotten married to another woman and is in the process of divorcing her because she can’t give him a male child, and this pushed her to the criminal act of stealing another woman’s baby.
