Supreme Court Nullifies APC Victory In Bayelsa, Declares PDP Candidate Winner

The APC candidate David Lyon

The Supreme Court has nullified the election of Bayelsa State governor-elect, David Lyon and his running mate, Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo, who were both elected on the platform of the APC.

A five-man panel of the apex court led by Justice Mary Peter-Odili, wife of former Rivers State Governor, Peter Odili has ordered INEC to withdraw the Certificate of Return issued to the APC candidates as winners of the November 16, 2019 governorship election in the state.

The court then ordered INEC to give the victory to the party with the next highest number of votes – the PDP.

The nullification of APC is on the basis of the Federal High Court’s judgment of November 12, 2019 which disqualified Degi-Eremienyo the running of the Governor for submitting forged certificates to INEC.

The court ruled Degi-Eremienyo’s disqualification affects the joint ticket with the Governorship candidate Lyon, since both of them ran for the election.

Bayelsa State was preparing for inauguration of the new Government on Saturday.

I’ve Met Willie Obiano A Few Times And The Governor Likes Big Nyash More Than Interest Of The Youths – Charly Boy

The controversial entertainment and socialite Charly Boy Oputa has made some interesting revelations about the Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano.

The Area Fada made these revelations on his social media page where he claimed to have met with the Governor a couple of times to deliberate on how to bring progress and development to Anambra people, particularly the youths, but the Governor is never interested.

He added that the Governor is too proud to accept any collaboration because he thinks he has all parts of the State covered, however, instead of showing interest in the State development, he always shows interest in his female workers.

“Willy like nyash no be here”, he claimed.

He further went on to reveal his phone conversation with the Governor recently.

Except of his words; “Willy is loud, most times pompous and braggadocios. His own possen no be here. I went to him a few times since he became governor to know what we can do with the youths in Anambra state and Infact Igbo land, but Willy wasn’t so intrested in working with us.

“He bragged of how he has all areas covered and seemed more intrested in my female workers than the buisness of the youths. Willy like nyash no be here.

“I stopped calling or reaching out to him, because our meetings no dey yield any action for the street people. So I just give am long rope, as an Emperor concern. You can imagine my surprise when I was called by Willy all the way from Rome. As usual, e no waste time to start to blow his trumpet again. He was excited as he bored me shitless with the story of his knighthood by the Pope.

“In his words, it is to be the highest honor bestowed on an African he claimed. Haba, Willy, which kin lie be dat naa?
Justice Oputa received his knighthood from the Pope too, and guess what? the gentleman didn’t lobby for it sam sam.

Meet Osagie Ize-Iyamu, The Edo Politician Who Is Contesting For Governor Under The PDP And APC

Pastor Dr Osagie Ize-Iyamu is one of the Edo State APC Gubernatorial candidates for the upcoming 2020 Edo elections.

Pst Osagie was also the PDP gubernatorial candidate just four years ago, in 2016.

He was a one time National Vice Chairman South South zone of the ACN party. He has served as Chief of Staff and SSG in Edo. He was the DG of Adams Oshiomhole campaign organization for his second term election and the coordinator Goodluck/Sambo campaign organization.

In 2018 Osagie was arraigned by the EFCC alongside others for 700m fraud.

Ironically, in 2019 when Dr Osagie was interviewed regarding his plans to either remain in the PDP or if he will cross carpet to the APC, he said;

“Today, I am full with PDP. I am praying and hoping that things will get better, but the truth is that I don’t see myself leaving where I am right now. However, the future is very dynamic and nobody can say for certain how things will go.

“It is only a fool that will say until I die, I will never move from this place. Sometimes, adversity opens one’s eyes to options and opportunities. My prayer is that our politics would develop to the level where we can have political parties built on ideological lines and transparent electoral system.”

Clearly, in Nigerian politics, there’s are permanent friends, no permanent enemies, just permanent interest.
