One of the most controversial politicians in Nigeria, ex-Senator Dino Melaye has come out with another strong statement in his defense against those who are calling on him to sell his cars and help the poor.
The Kogi politician who is based in Abuja has a good collection of some of the most expensive cars available in the country – from the vintage Rolls-Royce, to Ferraris, Lamborghini, Mercedes Benz, Slingshot, etc.
He is known to regularly flaunt this machines to the admiration of some Nigerians and the anger of others who feel he got those cars from stolen Government funds and as such should sell some of them and give the money to the poor.
Interestingly, he is seen in a recent video proclaiming that those who want him to sell his cars and give the money to the poor, want him to become poor. And for that reason, he won’t do it because he is not God, and God alone can solve all of mankind needs.
Former Senate President Dr Bukola Saraki has cried out to the Governor of Kwara State Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to leave his father’s property alone as the Governor makes moves to revoke a property which he claims belongs to his late father Dr Olusola Abubakar Saraki.
According to the former Senator who is also former Governor of Kwara, the property was allocated to his late father under the name of one of his father’s companies, Asa Investment Ltd and was used and still being used as old people’s home serving as venue for hosting social welfare services where food, clothing and medical supplies are distributed to the poor and old in the society.
Dr Saraki accuses the Governor of waging a war of vengeance on him and his family for no reason and trying to destroy the legacies of his late father.
The former Senate President also warned that the Governor will not succeed in his ploy to destroy him, because all power belongs to God and he will not tolerate any move against him by the Governor.

Meanwhile, the Governor of Kwara State claims that Saraki’s father illegally awarded the land to himself when he was Governor using his executive powers, hence he intends to demolish the property and build an Ultra modern State Secretariat on the said land for the benefit of the people of Kwara.
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested Honorable Shina Peller, member, House of Representatives. The politician who is also the owner of popular club Quilox in Lagos was said to arrange about 50 thugs to attack a police station after the police impounded vehicles of his club customers for obstructing traffic.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana, said Peller’s club, Quilox, was fond of obstructing free flow of traffic. He explained that the lawmaker had been warned many times, but he refused to do anything about it.
Responding to questions on the issue, the Police PRO Bala said that client of club Quilox are in the habit of blocking the road and Mr Shina Peller has been cautioned several times to manage his clients but he has refused. Hence, on Monday, the police intervened by towing three of the vehicles. Bala claimed that Peller mobilised thugs, invaded the station and forcefully removed the vehicles.
His words: “The honorable is the owner of that club and his customers are fond of parking on the road and blocking the road. If you want to pass that place, you will have tough times.
Up till 9am, the club was still on. They refused to remove their vehicles and Lagosians were seriously disturbed. Even Mr Governor was affected this morning. He had to manoeuvre his way through it.
This man had been talked to many times, but he refused to listen. This morning, our patrol vehicles towed three vehicles out of that place so that people could pass.
This honourable mobilised over 50 thugs to attack Maroko Police Station to move those vehicles out. We had to send reinforcement from neighbouring stations before they were able to curtail the situation. .
That was how he was arrested with five of the thugs, while others escaped. We had to excerise a lot of restraints. They have been moved to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Panti, where they are being investigated.”
